Mount Sumbing Overnight Sunrise Hike!
Experience a challenging adventure as you hike Mount Sumbing, the third tallest peak in Java. This journey will take you to a summit of 3,371 meters, where you will be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise overlooking surrounding mountains.
Mount Sumbing Overnight Sunrise Hike offers a challenging experience, combining an overnight trekking with a spectacular morning vista.
The journey begins with a drive in the evening to the basecamp in Garung Village, located at 1,445m. Here, you’ll meet your guide and prepare for the hike ahead. From the basecamp, a motorbike ride will take you to the first post at 1,925m. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will start your trekking, navigating rugged terrain and cool night air.
The hike typically takes about 5 hours, leading you through varying landscapes and challenging trails, until you reach the summit of Mount Sumbing at 3,371 meters. As you arrive at the summit, you will be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding landscape as the sunrise illuminates the peaks. After exploring the summit area, you will descend through the same route.
ITINERARY MOUNT SUMBING OVERNIGHT SUNRISE HIKE:
08:30 PM – 11:00 PM Pickup at hotel, then drive to Mt Sumbing hiking basecamp
11:00 PM – 11:30 PM Arrive at Mt Sumbing hiking basecamp, Registration & Preparation
11:30 PM – 05:00 AM Experience a mid-night Hiking of Mt Sumbing to the Summit via Garung Route
05:00 AM – 06:30 AM Enjoy the breathtaking sunrise view and explore the summit area on 3,371m
06:30 AM – 11:00 AM Descend to the hiking basecamp in Garung Village through the same route
11:00 AM – 01:30 PM Return to Yogyakarta, transfer to the hotel. End of the Tour!

Mount Sumbing Overnight Sunrise Trekking Tour is best suited for those with a good level of fitness, as the trails can be challenging.
